Meet the Dry Creek Family

A Legacy of Quality Cattle Breeding

We are a family farming and ranching operation based in Clay County Kansas. We run predominantly Angus with select Red Angus and Simmental Angus cross cattle. We strive to produce cattle that excel from birth til hanging on the rail. Fertility, Longevity, Efficiency and feedlot performance are all key aspects of what we produce. We like to look for outcross pedigrees that have the ability to excel in all of these areas that produce deep bodied sound cattle.
In recent years we have added the task of finishing our own cattle onsite. Calves are weaned late September to early October from local pasture and lease pastures in north easter Oklahoma. We have maintained upwards of 90 plus percent choice and up and have consistently beat plant averages for quality and yield grade garnering additional premiums. It has been very rewarding to follow genetics that work and don’t work. The sort gets more stringent each year to make the replacement pens as breeding stock.
Please take the time to look through the website and contact us for any questions or thoughts you have.
